Andy’s career journey includes both small, scrappy startups (Divide, acquired by Google 2014; NEON, acquired by Sybase 2001, now SAP) and large, well-known multinationals (Avaya, Raytheon, LG, and Google). While at Google, Andy launched the Android Enterprise partner ecosystem and its subsequent expansion into ruggedized and dedicated devices within Android. He has also developed Internet standards at the IETF and W3C, invented 11 patents on security, presence and availability technologies, and created open-source, cross-platform mobile identity solutions like AppAuth.
Andy holds a BS in Mathematics and has a decade of experience in information security and IT operational experience. Fluent in Spanish, Andy currently resides in London, has lived on 3 continents, and has engaged business audiences at hundreds of events across nearly 40 countries.
Andy remains active in the digital identity community as content chair for the mobile and IoT tracks at Identiverse where he teaches a mobile identity masterclass. He delivers an ecosystem development program to European startup founders every year as a faculty member at the Startup Executive Academy in Salzburg and is deeply involved with the Sonophilia Foundation which promotes creativity and critical thinking in leaders and organizations.
